Kokky Barendrecht

Kokky Barendrecht te Apeldoorn geboren te Gouda (1951) maakt sfeervolle abstracte schilderijen waarbij kleuren en contrasten de hoofdrol spelen. Poëtisch en vervreemdend tegelijk. Op zoek naar een nieuwe wereld. Vijf jaar lang volgde zij diverse workshops bij bekende kunstenaars, waaronder Gert Taken en Thirza Verrips. 

Mijn inspiratie komt uit het leven zelf. Alle menselijke emoties en gevoelens zijn voor mij de bron waaruit het schilderen ontstaat. Dit, gecombineerd met de verwondering over de energie van het bestaan leveren een constante drive.

My inspiration comes from live itself. All human emotions and feelings are the source from which the painting evolves. This, combined with the mystery about the energy of existence provide a constant drive.
